Whether it's handmade by a child, store purchased with fancy pictures,
or from a retail store with a coupon, everyone likes
or from a retail store with a coupon, everyone likes
receiving birthday cards in the mail, especially if they have a little surprise
in them!
But, how do you remember to
send them to everyone
on your long list of friends and family?
on your long list of friends and family?
It’s pretty simple, really.
1- Compile a
list of all the people’s names and birth dates you’d like to send a card
to.
My list is not complicated- a handwritten note from last year’s
calendar. :) You could be even more organized and put the
information into a spreadsheet by month and it could calculate their ages for
you! That way you’re sure to know how
old each child is and get an age-appropriate gift.
2- Organize
the names and birthdays by month.
3- Get
together with your family once a month and sign or make cards.
This is the part that I really love! Our church emphasizes the importance of
family- creating strong, loving families and maintaining those
relationships. I think this is a great
way to show love by gathering your immediate family together once a month at a
Family Night and show other members of your extended family how much you love
them with a simple card. It's inexpensive and
4- Mail
them at the beginning of each month and you’re (almost) always sure to get the
cards there on time. Even if you’re a
little early, the recipient is sure to know you thought about him or her, took
the time to send a handwritten card, and he or she feels loved.
February is almost over.
It’s the perfect time to start compiling your March list and impress your family by Getting
it All Together.
Today’s inspiration came from my Sister-in-law. (Thanks, Shanna!)
